Kiondo Tote Bag Pink

Hand woven, ethically made tote bag. Made from organic sisal fiber harvested by the artisans from the agave plant and leather trimming.

Our bags are handmade by Muthoni and her artisan group. They are all wives and mothers. The bags are traditionally crafted by women of the Kikuyu tribe from central Kenya. They sell them and share the proceeds equally to pay for food, medicine and education for their children. When they are not making bags for Sawa Sawa Collection, they can be found in the artisan market in Nairobi and Thika town.
