At SAWA SAWA, our mission is to empower women by creating sustainable solutions to poverty, protecting the environment, and preserving wildlife. One of the significant barriers to opportunity for women in Kenya, including our artisans, is the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products. To overcome this, we are calling on companies, organizations, and individuals to help us provide 200 menstrual cups for our artisans and team.
Why Menstrual Cups?
Menstrual cups are a sustainable, reusable, and cost-effective solution for menstrual care. Unlike disposable pads and tampons, which are expensive and generate waste, menstrual cups can last for years, offering consistent availability and freedom from recurring costs. They empower women by:
Removing Hindrances: Without adequate menstrual hygiene products, women and girls often miss work or school, limiting their opportunities. Menstrual cups enable them to participate fully in daily life.
