After Black Panther came out, we got a lot of requests for more ‘authentic’ African, tribal accessories. We listened.
This piece is handmade with a leather necklace that snaps at the back by Yantsai Ntokosi. She is the first wife, a mother and a grandmother. She leads a team of her three co-wives, their daughters and granddaughters. Proceeds from their craft provide basic needs, medicine and education for the entire family. It has an engraved metallic shield stitched into the leather. The necklace is soft and light. It nests comfortably on the collar bone. 8 inches long. 15 inches circumference.
Statement Pendant is made of 14 beaded multistrands hand stitched into the leather with a matching engraved shield in the middle. The beads are bright multi colored shades of metallic. 4 inches in diameter.
